Silver Sea Cruise

The ‘jewel in the crown’ of the Royal Caribbean Group, Silversea Cruises is the leading ultra-luxury and expedition cruise line—acclaimed for both its all-inclusive lifestyle offering and its global destination portfolio. Launched in 1994 as the world’s first all-inclusive, ultra-luxury global cruise line, Silversea officially became part of the Royal Caribbean group in July 2018 when the Group purchased two-thirds of the cruise line’s shares, subsequently acquiring the remaining shares in July 2020.

Silversea provides one of the most inclusive offerings in ultra-luxury cruising. Voyages include butler service in every suite category; a choice of restaurants on every ship, as well as in-suite dining around the clock, complimentary sustainable caviar on-demand 24/7, and premium beverages served throughout the ship; and a true door-to-door service, with private executive transfers and flights included as standard, among other inclusions. Silversea’s guests travel deep into over 900 destinations across all seven continents, enjoying a curated selection of immersive experiences in the world’s most remarkable places.

In addition to four ultra-luxury expedition ships, Silversea counts six classic vessels in its fleet. Among the most comfortable and spacious ships at sea, each of the cruise line’s ships enjoys an atmosphere of elegance, conviviality, and whispered luxury. Silversea has recently welcomed three ships to its fleet since June 2020 – Silver Origin, Silver Moon and Silver Dawn – bringing the fleet’s tally to 10.

Silversea is an inclusive cruise line. Its fares cover crew gratuities, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, self-service laundry, shuttles into town (where applicable) and unlimited Wi-Fi every day (standard for some staterooms, and premium for upper-category suites on most ships). Expedition cruises include shore excursions (Zodiac tours, guided hikes) and gear like hats and parkas, where necessary.

Great food is part of the journey. From a breezy al fresco lunch at the Sky Grill to an elegant four-course dinner in the glass-walled Panorama Dining Room, or a more casual culinary setting in the Panorama Bistro, there are several options on what and where to eat on board. The Avalon FlexDining moves away from restrictive seating times in limited settings.

Staying healthy while on vacation is difficult for some, but not while you are on an Avalon cruise in Europe. Moreover, Avalon offers locally-inspired cuisine using only the freshest ingredients prepared by talented and experienced chefs. The Avalon Fresh selections are exclusively created in collaboration with Austrian brothers Leo and Karl Wrenkh, leading chefs in the healthy-dining movement.

Silversea's ships are small, but that doesn't mean you can't have a choice in what to eat and where to dine. The main restaurant's menu is large and supplemented by a robust all-around dining menu (essentially the heartiest room service menu we've ever seen, where meals can be ordered in a restaurant, to your suite or to a public area like the pool deck or bar). Menus are delivered the night before so you can plan your meal or request alternatives if you have a dietary restriction. All ships offer a number of alternative venues; silver muse has eight eateries. Choose from the exclusive and intimate La Dame, an alfresco grill or an Italian restaurant on most ships; on the larger ones, you can try Asian venues, a supper club and an outdoor Italian-style pizza venue.

Every Silversea cruise passenger gets a butler. Crew members know your name before you've met them. Restaurant staff will escort you to your table and carry your plate at the buffet. Your butler will stock your suite with your choice of beverages and pillows, and set even your ensuite breakfast table with a white tablecloth and full silverware. Crew members escort shore excursions to solve problems and make sure the experience meets Silversea's standards. Laundry is returned to you wrapped in tissue paper. Everyone onboard wants you to have the perfect vacation.
